I was applying for a serious job and the company ran a background check on me. After this check, I was rejected, they told me that I don’t fit the company’s aspirations and needs. Of course I asked for a copy of that background check, because they had no other reasons to reject me and I saw there a lot of criminal records that don’t belong to me. Tha name on the report was the same, the address to but the SSN was different so I supposed that Checkr made a mistake during his check. How can I remove those criminal records and ask for a good and correct report?

Yes, it might be an error caused by the background reporting company. It’s not so difficult to correct it, you have to dispute with them and wait for them to update the information. The process gets harder if after the disputing process they don’t change anything saying that the report is trustworthy and correct. In such a case, you can start a lawsuit against them and even get compensation if you win in the court. Although, I suggest you read this article before to be sure that you fully understand the situation.
