The wonder is that the ultimate aim of being chosen is the ultimate joy of being satisfied. And the wonder deepens as we realize that we human beings were designed to find our fullest satisfaction not in front of a mirror, but in front of God. We were made to be mirrors, not see mirrors. Mirrors with eyes. And the joy of seeing all-satisfying Beauty was meant to find its consummation in the reflection of that beauty to God and man in praise.

The flow of history will be altered. For the sake of the chosen ones. The world of unbelievers, who reject God and his Son, have no idea how the world is run. They do not know what true significance is. They will be stunned someday to learn that the Christians, whom they despised or ignored, were the linchpin of history.

While Trump, who worships himself and only himself, probably hasn't given much thought to the deity now or at any other time, one thing is for sure: He loves this idea that he's been chosen by the almighty to be a great leader.

As Peter Montgomery of Right Wing Watch has monitored, Christian right leaders speak endlessly of Trump as a chosen vessel for God's will, saying things like \"God has picked him up\" and that Trump is \"literally splitting the kingdom of darkness right open\" and that \"the Lord has put His favor upon him.\"

This reading, perversely, allows evangelicals to interpret Trump's lechery and tendency to curse (they don't really see his racism or encouragement of violence as sinful) as more evidence that he has been chosen by God.

Perry is not alone. A large number of evangelical Christians in the U.S. believe that God has chosen Donald Trump to advance the kingdom of God on Earth. Several high-profile religious leaders have made similar claims, often comparing Trump to King Cyrus who was asked by God to rescue the nation of Israel from exile in Babylon.

Despite being chosen for a specific purpose, this does not make the Jewish people better or more loved by God. In the same way that you would not love or prefer your toothbrush over a wire scrub brush. You have a purpose for each.

From the Bible we know that God will shape human history around this family. He will use them to show the rest of the world that He keeps promises, that He is loving and kind, and He wants all to join His family. Quite plainly, the difference between Jews and Gentiles (or the nations) is that God has chosen one for a specific task, and not the others.

Just as it is true that no one can come to faith in Jesus unless he or she is chosen by God, it is likewise true that we are not saved unless we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Both are true. Thus, God chooses the elect, proclaims the good news to all, and saves those who believe (who are also those He has chosen) are saved.

Did you know that you were chosen for a special purpose, too You might feel like your life is just simple and basic, but God has a plan for you. He has promised to bless you and provide you with special and wonderful things. In the book of Ephesians, we are reminded of the grace and blessings He gives us. God chose us and had a plan for us even before the world began! How can that be He loves us so much that He knew what our lives would be like before we were born, and before the Earth was born. God has adopted us into His family. He calls us His children. Because of that, we are promised a special inheritance. An inheritance is something that your family gives you to take care of you when they pass away. God has given us an inheritance as His children. We are part of His will, and one day we will receive Heaven!

Although God calls everyone, not everyone is chosen. Jesus sums it all up in Matthew 22:14 when he rightly pointed out that many are called but few are chosen. People with special assignments are often deemed as chosen as was the case of Jesus, John the Baptist, and even Samson.

Eventually, He opens the door to His Kingdom to many by asking His servant to invite everyone in the street. However, Jesus tells us of a man in the feast who is not wearing a wedding garment and is, therefore, sent out into the darkness by the King.This means that when we stand before God on the last day and are not clothed in His righteousness, he will cast us out. Although the call went out to everyone, good and bad, only some responded. Additionally, you must wear the robe of his righteousness to make it into the kingdom. Few are chosen among the many invited because only a few people want to pay the price.

Energy Secretary Rick Perry said in an interview that he told President Donald Trump that he was God's \"chosen one\" to lead the United States, just as he chose the kings to lead Israel in the Old Testament.
