As impressive as Life Is Good has been in the roses, his best work has come in mid-summer events. He is unbeaten in eight lifetime starts and won or placed in nine of 12 races on dirt, with six of those going wire to wire. He raced at odds ranging from 9-1 to 12-1.
In his six-start career, Life Is Good has won four of them, the last three at the distance. At the distance of five furlongs, he defeated stablemate Goldikova when he came from off at the wire, and was three-quarters of a length back in another effort in which he had to be urged out the gate.
Life Is Good, whose 2016 earnings have totaled $9.1 million, will face a field that includes the Grade 3-winning Argentinian, Alizee, who enters Saturday's race as the second choice at 1-2 in the NTRA poll; the three-time Grade 1-winning Adorable, a 1-2 pick, who had an eye-opening victory in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G3); and Boyhood, an 11-10 favorite who won the Louisiana Derby (G2) and Louisa Derby (G3) and has been much improved since his win in the Wood Memorial (G1).
Life Is Good set a fast pace from the gate, but the speedy pace quickly caught up with him and the 4-year-old started to fade as the going got tougher. Hot Rod Charlie and Happy Saver closed in from the outside, but Ortiz had the horse's measure, steering him to the inside in the last 50 yards, and the colt won by 2 1/4 lengths.
Life Is Good was purchased by Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the ruler of Abu Dhabi and deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates. The sheikh is the first ruler to own a thoroughbred racing operation, having first purchased an interest in California Chrome, the 2009 Triple Crown winner, in 2013. Life Is Good is the first horse owned by a ruler of an Arab nation to win the Kentucky Derby.
Baffert said winning the Big Easy, his fourth Derby, is special to him, and the Big Easy felt like an important part of the Triple Crown this year. The race is run on the first Saturday in May, and the field was one of the strongest ever. The field was so strong that the racetrack chose to open a new dirt track between the first and second turns, which tends to entice horses to race quicker to increase their chances of winning. The extra space gave Life Is Good his margin of victory.
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
