There are many other systems of body reading, including (but not limited to):
Ras-mudrika or Rasa-mudrika
Jyotisha-shastra or Jyotishamudrika
Sat-tantra-shastra or Sat-tantra-samudrika
Vigyan-shastra or Vigyanamudrika
In the latter two systems, the practitioner gauges the character, temperament, and physical health of the subject by viewing the face and taking an array of measurements. In both systems, the practitioner interprets the information gained from the subject’s face, and the interpretation is given as a prediction of the subject’s future.Samudrika Shastra and Samudrika Shastra are, of course, quite different from each other, but both are well known to be a part of the Indian tradition of body reading.
The Jyotishamudrika of Vidya-jyoti is a text that deals with the interpretation of dreams, weather patterns, and other omens using Vedic astrology. Further there are books of siddhanta (truths) on the subject like Dasya-shastra and Dasya-yukti-shastra, Kashyapa-shastra, Maitri-shastra, Chak-shastra, and Vakya-shastra. There are also books of stava (instruction) which offer interpretation of shastras and also give general life-guidance. 827ec27edc
